Why this site exists.
In 2020, if someone were to ask you "do you read webnovels and watch anime?" I'm pretty sure you'd be like - isn't that for kids? 😅
Well, I started reading webnovels from 2018, from what I can remember. Then novels - it was fun and enjoyable to read. 📖 I remember I started reading novels on an app called "Light Reader" though I really don't know and am not sure if the app still exists.
Then around 2020's, from 2021-2022 the shi got so popular it broke the roof 🚀. I remember I moved to reading novels online on a website similar to Light Reader, I think it was called Light Novel Hub or something - I can't remember. Then I moved to Light Novel World (L.N.W) to continue reading. I read some good classics there, and moved to another website later on in 2023 till this day. I don't quite remember or know why I moved but I love the website I'm reading novels on now.
So I was more of a read than comment person, so I did not really participate in discussions until I moved away from LNW. It's been 6 years or more now since I started reading webnovels 📚, then moved to Manga and Manhwa and is now reading some Ebooks. So far the count of ebooks I have read cannot reach the count of webnovels I have read, neither can M&M's.
So fastforward to 2026, we have stupid novels and brainless AI generated content that's obviously not taking anyone anywhere 😤. Novels today are made by algorithms and trends, and that is a serious issue because novels are supposed to be created by inspiration and your imagination. But when you force yourself to think in one direction then what comes out is obviously spoiled food.
I believe that through reading a novel, you can interact and experience what it's like to be the author - what goes on in his or her head, which is a very good experience by the way 😊, well depending on the author and the novel that is.
BookEnd was created to give people a place safe from all the over-fill of AI, to promote diversity and love, a place to find "what next to read" without going through mountains of rubbish 🏔️➡️📖.
No algorithms. No ads. Just real readers recommending real stories.
We started with oral tradition, where the story was a human connection. We moved through the isolation of the written word and the commercialization of print, only to arrive at a digital state where the human element is being suffocated by algorithms.
The next great evolution of storytelling will not be a new technology.
It will be a return to human curation.
In a way, BookEnd is a personal project. A novel, except:

- ✨It is Breathing
- ✨It is a Novel that has no end unless you want it to
